Embedded RHS compatibility — 5 November 2026
Escape contains the same two hash-checked script replacements tested in the standalone RHS experiment. Its project GUID and original dependencies are unchanged. Neither standalone compatibility addon was present in this test's source or private addon search directory. No WCS changes are embedded.
The current production addon was copied to an isolated source directory, with both replacements included. The archived runner disabled the historical escape smoke fixture and observed actual player spawn after normal scenario preparation. GameLib, Game and WorkbenchGame compiled on 1.9.0.37; the player spawned, and no script exception occurred. This is startup evidence, not another run of the prior 114-assertion rescue fixture or multiplayer qualification.
The strict all-errors report still fails on inherited resource/property
diagnostics. Source and installed dependencies were unchanged after the run;
owned-process cleanup was confirmed. Tests used a hidden Gamescope display,
muted audio, and the disposable Tools prefix. See startup/runner.json and
report.json.
Preparation was also checked for fresh installation, repeat installation, and
refusal to overwrite an edited destination script. Generated RHS source is
excluded from Git; reproduce it with prepare.py --mission addons/core.
Native mission packing exited with code 0. The PAK inventory verifies both RHS scripts byte-for-byte against the embedded inputs; the packed project exactly matches Escape's original identity and dependency list. Packing left a Wine helper in the disposable prefix, so the runner correctly recorded cleanup failure. Separate prefix-scoped cleanup subsequently verified it idle; the original runner result is preserved. This package has not been tested as a packed multiplayer installation.
Publication
The command-line publisher uploaded Escape 0.0.141 on 5 November 2026.
publication/console.log records both Project uploaded successfully and
Addon processing successful; the native process exited with code 0. The
manifest identifies Workshop item 2528466DE220D91C, version 0.0.141, and
game 1.9.0.37. The uploaded PAK contains both RHS replacements with the exact
tested hashes. The publisher retained the existing multiplayer-scenario category,
so the broken category selector was bypassed. The existing title, description,
license, and preview were retained; RHS attribution is in the update change note.
The publishing runner also recorded a leftover Wine helper; subsequent cleanup
was limited to its disposable prefix and confirmed idle. The original failure
record is preserved. workshop_changelog.py --published recorded the verified
version. This publishing step did not push Git or send a Discord notification.
