# Reforger 1.9 release preparation — 2026-11-05 Later update: a separate addon using same-path script replacement resolves the RHS compile blockers. Native faction/rescue checks and a separate WCS BMP tire initialization fix now pass; both local addons are packed but unpublished. See [the subsequent compatibility evidence](../rhs-1.9-compatibility-2026-11-05/README.md). The failures below describe the earlier attempts, not the latest patch state. Game and Workbench both completed updating to **1.9.0.37**. The frozen current source passes the full repository suite. The production dependency graph cannot compile: installed RHS Status Quo 0.16.5237 overrides `SetAuthor(int)` while vanilla 1.9 expects `SetAuthor(int, bool isGM = false)`. The live official RHS Workshop changelog still lists 0.16.5237 for game 1.8.0.13. The proposed base-class compatibility overload was tested only in a disposable copy and rejected by the native compiler. It has been removed; no workaround or dependency removal was applied to the repository. With RHS/WCS/BMP unloaded only in a diagnostic copy, the complete owned GameLib, Game and WorkbenchGame modules compile against 1.9, retaining the Parachute Framework dependency. That run cannot validate gameplay: required RHS faction resources are missing and the runner times out. All native runs used private muted displays and disposable prefixes, with cleanup confirmed and installed dependency/source hashes unchanged. The release remains **unpublished** and **unpushed**. Candidate version 0.0.141 is provisional; the last confirmed published version is 0.0.140. After compatible dependencies become available, rerun the full native compile, escape route and packed startup checks before publishing. Record the successful upload with `tools/workshop_changelog.py --published` (using `--manifest` if published from a private profile), then commit/push and verify Drone. A later diagnostic tried replacing the RHS method directly from a downstream `modded class`. Compilation still rejected the original RHS signature; this adapter was also removed. The official Dev listing was checked and still targets 1.8. Public development logs show work toward 1.9, but do not establish an available stable update.
