# Shovel body burial — native checks, 21 October 2026 Both isolated Workbench fixtures completed **11 assertions with no script/runtime failures**, first with the normal dependency closure and then with Realistic Combat Drones 2.3.7 also loaded. The latter also extends the character base prefab; the burial action remained available. Both runners verified unchanged source and external inputs and cleanup of their private prefix. The native reporter still fails its strict whole-engine verdict: 13 retained resource/world errors in the standard run and 20 with drones. Full console logs, reports, input hashes and runner records are retained in [standard](standard/) and [with-drones](with-drones/). Tested production bytes are recorded in [production-sha256.json](production-sha256.json). Observed in both runs: - A character inherited the new action through its native actions manager. - A living character was ineligible, as was a corpse with an empty-handed caller. - A shovel placed in inventory did not enable burial; equipping the native entrenching-tool gadget did. - The nearby corpse passed real range/visibility checks. Moving it beyond reach rejected burial, as did invoking the action with a different owner. - The real action callback and deferred completion removed the corpse through the replicated entity deletion API, preserving the player and held shovel. - A repeated completion after deletion was harmless. The fixture invokes the real action callback directly. It does not prove eight seconds of ordinary held input, interruption UI, remote-client replication or visual digging animation. The action uses native `Duration 8` progress and cancellation. Burial removes the body and remaining attached equipment; it does not create a grave prop or terrain deformation. `tests/test_body_burial.py` executes production eligibility/completion against substituted native boundaries, covering unconscious/dead callers, living and unconscious targets, admission, mission state, held-item changes, vehicles, obstructions, distance and repeated deletion. Existing HQ tests retain delivered casualty attribution when a corpse disappears during radio transit. Reproduce with the installed dependencies and existing private Workbench prefix: ``` python3 docs/evidence/body-burial-2026-10-21/isolated-runner.py standard02 python3 docs/evidence/body-burial-2026-10-21/isolated-runner.py compat02 --with-drones ``` Use unused alphanumeric suffixes. The runner freezes source into `/tmp` and uses a disposable profile. No installed addon or live server is modified.
